Meet Our Doctor

Austin Rickabaugh, DDS
Dr. Austin Rickabaugh grew up alongside two older sisters in a small town in southeast Kansas called Chanute. He attended Kansas State University where he received his undergraduate degree in biology and where he met his wife, Kristen. Dr. Rickabaugh later moved to Omaha, Nebraska where he received his dental education at Creighton University.
Following dental school, he moved to Kansas City to attend a one-year general practice residency at Truman Medical Center. During his residency, he expanded his clinical skills in the areas of cosmetics, full mouth rehabilitation, endodontics, and implant surgery.
Dr. Rickabaugh practiced in the greater Kansas City area for three years before taking ownership of the practice from Dr. James Voorhees. Dr. Rickabaugh is passionate about helping patients maintain and improve their beautiful smiles!
When not focusing on dentistry, he enjoys spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and golfing. He also cherishes his time relaxing with his wife Kristen and two Australian Shepherds Dixie and Ranger.

James T. Voorhees, DDS
Dr. Jim Voorhees grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and is one of six siblings. He attended Saint Louis University and received degrees in Biology and Psychology in 1982. Dr. Voorhees then attended the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Dentistry and graduated in 1986. He located back to St. Louis after graduation and established his own dental office with his wife, Amy, whom he met in dental school. They remained in St. Louis and were blessed with three children, a son, Tommy, and two daughters, Alli and Courtney.
In 1997, Dr. Voorhees moved his young family to Gainesville, Florida, and attended a two year post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Florida, College of Dentistry. Dr. Voorhees holds a certificate in Temporomandibular Disorders and Orofacial Pain as well as General Dentistry.
In September 1999, Dr. Voorhees assumed the office he currently operates in Lenexa, Kansas. Doctor Voorhees and his wife, Amy, added their daughter Courtney in 2017 as a Dental Hygienist. This is truly a family business.
He and Amy love Kansas City and were long standing members of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, but have recently moved out in the country south of Olathe. Dr. Voorhees loves his time with his family! Now with the addition of grandchildren- that time is even more special!!
