Illumination on Lumineers®

Posted .

Our lovely staff are talented in fitting your teeth with a unique form dental veneers called Lumineers®. If you are thinking of installing dental veneers upon your smile, Lumineers are unquestionably the best choice.

What makes them so special? Well, being fitted for traditional veneers mean shaving off your natural tooth enamel. To have a Lumineer installed, however, requires barely if any removal of your tooth’s structure. This is because Lumineers are ultra-thin and translucent. They are designed to replicate the appearance of your enamel. And like your enamel, they are incredibly strong and durable. In fact, they can last over 20 years. That’s twice as long as the average lifespan of a dental veneer.

The procedure is similar to that of getting a veneer. James Voorhees will create a detailed mold of your teeth called an impression. Then you will decide what shade of white is best for you. This impression will then be sent to a dental lab to create your custom Lumineers. In the meantime, you will not need any temporary veneers unless you have suffered a severe chip that hampers your eating or speaking. Either way we will ensure you are in the best of comfort.

When your Lumineers have been created, you will return to our office for a second visit. We will double-check that your Lumineers are the right fit and then bond them to your teeth. We will then check your bite to make sure they are balanced. Then you can go about your daily activities with a stunning and healthy smile.
